Why a good student still loses marks

In Class 10, marks are lost in the questions nobody stopped to answer

Qatar parents rarely describe a weak child. They describe a 95% child whose doubts went unanswered, whose practice was thin, and whose question paper changed shape in the board year. Start with the simplest number in the whole decision, how many minutes of a teacher's hour actually belong to your child.

She had tuition every week. The teacher taught her well. But I don’t know what happens during exams, she just can’t score marks.

Taught well. Scored low.

How we fix it: Understanding a chapter and being able to answer a twisted, competency-based question about it are two different things. Every chapter ends in a written test against the board’s own question pattern, so the gap between “taught” and “can score” is closed before the board paper, not discovered inside it.
She doesn’t ask doubts easily. It’s difficult for her to ask. If she studies online, can you find out her weaknesses and understand them?

The child who won’t ask for help

How we fix it: In a one-to-one class the teacher asks the questions, not the other way around. Gaps show up in the class itself, not in the board paper. The mentor also collects and clears any doubts still outstanding between sessions, so nothing goes to the next chapter unresolved.
When doing problems in school, they only do one or two. They don't give enough. Competency-based questions, they need to do a lot of that.

Not enough practice, and the wrong kind

How we fix it: Previous year board papers, varied-difficulty sets and competency questions after every chapter, marked and returned, not just handed over as a PDF.

The fee question, answered before you ask it

Cheap tuition that doesn't move the mark is the expensive one

One Qatar parent put it better than any pricing page could: “We paid 3,500 rupees for one chapter in one month just to get that experience. That's why I'm being open about it, it shouldn't happen like that.” The money that hurts isn't the fee. It's a board year spent in a class that changed nothing.

So we don't ask for a year upfront, and we don't hide the structure. You know the per-class rate before the demo, you pay as the classes happen, and you can split payments across the month.

Simple, flexible fees, no lock-in

  • Per-class pricing. You always know exactly what one hour costs, in plain numbers, before the first class.
  • Pay class by class, or split the month. No 20,000-at-once demand, no yearly package forced on you.
  • Start, pause or adjust hours around school exams, Ramadan schedules and travel to Kerala.
  • Free demo class first. You decide only after you've watched the teaching, not before.
  • Not satisfied in the first month? Talk to your mentor, unused class fees are returned.

Qatar parents told us the same thing over and over: they want a teacher who works inside the board their child sits, not a generalist. So we don't assign one and hope. You see the profiles, you pick, and you meet them in a free demo before anything is decided.

Anitha M., Class 10 Maths

Nine years teaching Class 10 Maths. Starts every student on the chapter their school is on, then builds backwards into the gaps.

Rahul J., Class 10 Physics

Physics only, never “covering Physics” between other subjects. Heavy on numericals and competency-based questions.

Sruthi N., Class 10 Science

Explains tough terms in Malayalam when a student asks for it, and keeps written answers in English for the board paper.

"The teacher should have core knowledge, so doubts can be clarified easily."

The climb

Four stages between where your child is now and the mark they want

Most tuition stops after stage two, the syllabus gets covered, and everyone assumes the marks will follow. In the board year they don't. Marks are won in stages three and four.

→ 40%

1 · Strong foundation

Class 8 and 9 gaps closed first, the base every later mark stands on.

→ 60%

2 · Cover the syllabus

Chapter by chapter, matched to what your child's school in Qatar is teaching that week.

→ 80%

3 · Structured practice

Previous year papers and varied-difficulty questions, marked with real feedback.

→ 100%

4 · Application mastery

MCQs, competency-based and indirect questions, where the last twenty marks live.

This is where a 95% student becomes a 98% student, and where a stuck student stops being stuck.

The whole thing, in one place

From today's marks to board exam day, the full journey

Simple to start, structured all the way to the board paper, with progress you can see in marks every month.

The whole thing, in one place

Understands in class, loses marks in the paper. Doubts left unasked. Practice thin and repetitive. Nobody able to say which chapters are actually weak.

Getting started, four steps

1

Tell us the target

Share your child's board, subjects and current marks with an admission counsellor on WhatsApp.

2

3

Between the classes

Online tuition for Class 10 Qatar families can actually keep track of

The class is one hour. The result is decided in the six days around it, which is why every part of the week has someone responsible for it, and why you see it in writing rather than hearing “he's doing fine”.

Entry assessment, then a written plan

Week one measures every chapter. You get the target, the chapter list and the number of hours it takes, before you commit to a single month.

Taught from your child's own textbook

We follow the school's book and the chapter your school is on right now, so tuition never runs on a separate calendar from the school in Doha.

Chapterwise tests and model exams

A written test after every chapter, full model papers before the boards, both marked against the board's own marking scheme.

Mentor doubt support between classes

For the child who won't raise their hand. Doubts collected between classes and answered, never parked until tomorrow.

A monthly report on WhatsApp

Marks, attendance, chapters completed and what's still weak, sent to you every month, in numbers you can check.

A scheduling desk that works in Qatar time

Evening slots after your duty hours, exam-week pauses, and study-leave intensives, rescheduled by the mentor, not by you chasing a teacher.

One expert teacher in the hour, one mentor across the month, that's the part that turns classes into marks.

You're comparing options. You should. Here it is side by side.

Three people are accountable for your child's Class 10 result

A tuition hour on its own doesn't move a board mark. What moves it is a teacher who knows the paper, someone tracking whether the plan is working, and a plan built on your child's real gaps rather than a generic syllabus calendar.

01 · The Personal Teacher

One subject, one board, one student. The same teacher from the free demo to the board exam, so nobody restarts from zero in December. If the fit isn't right, you can change teachers without changing anything else.

02 · The Personal Mentor

Not a salesperson, the person who owns the result. They set the target on day one, schedule the Qatar-time classes, run the chapterwise tests, chase the doubts your child didn't ask, and send you a progress report every month on WhatsApp.

03 · The Personal Plan

Built from an entry assessment, not an assumption. It names the exact chapters costing marks, logs, graphs, numericals, long-answer writing, and every class and test after that exists to close one of them.

Questions Qatar parents ask on the first call

CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and IB. Your child is matched with a teacher trained in that board's paper pattern and marking scheme. For IGCSE and IB students, where the material can differ from school to school, the teacher works from your child's own books and school materials, several Qatar parents raise this exact point with us, and it's handled at the matching stage.

Subject-matched, always. A Physics teacher teaches Physics; a Biology teacher will never be put on a Physics class. If a teacher is unavailable, the class is rescheduled rather than handed to somebody else, and the same teacher continues from the free demo through to the board exam.

Postgraduate subject specialists, M.Sc and above, teaching only the subject they specialise in, and every teacher completes a two-month structured training programme before their first class. Each teacher is trained in the exam pattern and marking scheme of the board they teach, and teaching quality is reviewed every month.

You tell us the Qatar time you want, and we convert and confirm it in writing, you never have to calculate the gap yourself. Most Class 10 students in Qatar take evening slots between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM Doha time, after school and after parents' duty hours, with weekend slots for extra subjects and exam-season intensives.

Fees are a simple per-class rate and you pay only for the classes your child takes. There is no large advance, no yearly package, and payments can be split within the month or made class by class. The mentor gives you the exact rate and the estimated hours per subject before you enrol, and the tuition fees page shows the full structure.

Yes. One teacher, one student, for the full hour, no batches, no groups, no shared screens. You're welcome to sit in and watch any class, and many Qatar parents do for the first few.

Yes, and that's a deliberate rule. Parents told us that elsewhere a good demo was followed by weaker regular classes with a different teacher. The teacher who takes your demo is the teacher who continues, and if the fit isn't right, you can change teachers without losing your plan or your hours.

In a one-to-one class the teacher asks the questions rather than waiting for a hand to go up, so gaps show up in the class itself. Between classes, the mentor collects and clears pending doubts. No doubt gets parked until tomorrow.

A written test after every chapter, model exams before the boards, and a monthly progress report on WhatsApp with marks, chapters completed and remaining weak areas. You see numbers, not reassurance.

Yes. The entry assessment prioritises chapters by how many marks they carry and how weak they are, and late-joining students can move to a question-paper-and-revision mode instead of full chapter teaching. Book a free demo class and the mentor will build the chapter priority list on the call.
